Jordan Umbach is a Nashville singer-songwriter with Western Pennsylvania roots. His two full-length Americana albums released in Pittsburgh were filled with melodic rock/folk influences and drew comparisons to Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen in media reviews by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and other area newspapers and magazines. His debut album, Silhouette of Steel was named a Notable Release of 2010 by the Post Gazette music critics, and his second album, Mercy, was sponsored by a PA Council on the Arts grant. His Nashville EP, More to Life, was recorded at the Rukkus Room, and featured Reba McIntyre’s drummer, Tommy Harden. His early single hit, "Bottle Rocket" received intensive air-play on FROGGY radio in Pittsburgh's Tri-State Region of Ohio and West Virginia.
Since moving to Nashville, Umbach’s music has taken on a more country/singer songwriter sound. He has songs under contract in the Los Angeles catalog of Monica Benson and his new album project, "Hometown," (available now in download and CD in January 2021) depicts his steel town, blue-collar family roots, along with other songs about labor, equality, vulnerability, and relationships. Upon moving to Music City, Jordan began playing full-time in venues such as the famed Bourbon Street Blues and Boogie Bar in Printers Alley and has weekly and monthly residencies today at Bunganut Pig in Franklin, Tennessee, as well as Flytes Brewhouse, Plantation Pub, Fontanel Mansion Restaurant and Winery, and more. Catch a show -- see his Facebook Page for the latest show info -- or give a listen to some sample songs and buy a CD or digital download at the pre-release rate and enjoy the music!
